The Giant-Crusher is widely regarded as one of the most formidable Colossal weapons available in Elden Ring. Designed for heavy-hitting Strength builds, this massive hammer delivers incredible physical damage capable of flattening tough opponents. Knowing precisely where to travel and what stats are necessary will allow players to claim this legendary weapon efficiently.
Navigating to the Altus Plateau Region
Before searching for the weapon, Tarnished adventurers must gain access to the Altus Plateau region. Players can reach this territory by either collecting the two halves of the Dectus Medallion to use the Grand Lift or by tackling the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Both paths lead directly into the higher-level plateau area where the hammer awaits.
Locating the Carriage near the Outer Wall
Once inside the Altus Plateau, head toward the outskirts of Leyndell, the Royal Capital. Locate the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace as your primary landmark. From this point, travel directly south into a circular encampment area where a large chest rests inside the back of a carriage.
Handling the Area Hazards and Claiming the Treasure
The encampment is guarded by an Ulcerated Tree Spirit that ambushes players upon approach. Players can choose to battle this creature directly or quietly sneak past to reach the back of the cart. Opening the chest rewards you with the weapon immediately without requiring a forced boss defeat.
Stat Requirements and Build Scaling
Wielding this massive weapon requires a formidable stat investment, specifically needing 60 Strength. However, players can effectively wield it earlier by two-handing the weapon at 40 Strength. Because of its substantial weight of 26.5, heavy investment in Endurance is also highly recommended to manage stamina and equipment load.
